Grand WaZoo was formed in June 1981 at St Kilda, Melbourne by Musician-Arranger (Trumpet & Piano), John Montesante, who still leads the band today .  John's mission was to create an exceptional Australian Soul Orchestra, which would authentically present the great Soul tunes, hits and dance repertoires, as well as rare Soul gems not performed by other outfits, and Grand WaZoo band originals in that same brassy, Big Soul style. Heading towards three decades of ongoing performance, Grand WaZoo remains THE BAND OF CHOICE for all who require superb Music, unrivaled entertainment value & first-class professionalism.
